Planning to stay (p2s) is a grassroots coalition that advances a community-based development narrative and planning policy suggestions in orange, nj. In 2024, the p2s coalition hosted a peoples movement assembly to share the latest draft of the planning to stay platform, hosted a community forum and debate for oranges mayoral election, and created a working group focused on building a campaign around a massive development proporsal at oranges abandoned memorial hospital site. P2s has engaged over 450 residents in 2024.

The ben jones community garden (bjcg) is located at the huub. In 2024 we hosted monthly garden volunteer days and urban gardening educational workshops on reducing the risk of lead poisoning through gardening habits and dietary decisions. We also hosted our annual october harvest fest that had over 300 people and families in attendance. We connected with other community gardens at public schools and senior housing centers around the city.
