The institute of medicine of chicago (iomc) is an independent organization of distinguished leaders in the health field who collaborate to improve the health of the public. Drawing upon the expertise of a diverse membership and other regional leaders, the iomc addresses critical health issues through a range of interdisciplinary approaches including education, research, communication of trusted information, and community engagement. Other accomplishments include: collaborated with the greater chicago food depository - they provided an update on current conditions and needs at the 2024 leadership awards & annual meeting event. Financial support through donations were made directly to the gcfd from members and guests at the event and colleagues of iomc. Conducted post-program evaluations with attendees to continue to improve the quality of the programs and address key and critical issues of membership, impacting public health, population health and community health.
