Mission
The foundation's purpose is two-fold: (1) to educate the local and regional jewish communities by disseminating news, information, literary materials, and research respecting any and all matters directly or indirectly related to the welfare of the jewish and general community, and (2) to promote the advancement of the jewish religion by facilitating communication between and among religious leaders and educators and jewish community members. The mission statement of the foundation is as follows: act as an independent voice for the greater pittsburgh jewish community. Inform its readers about local, national, and international news. Promote awareness of issues confronting the community. Provide a forum for the exchange of readers' views and ideas. Serve as a record of local and regional jewish life.
