The Kent Island Heritage Society Inc

Sponsorship of kent island day the third weekend in may and other events promoting the rich heritage and culture of kent island. The annual kent island day was cancelled this year due to the weather. In august teachers and staff from stevensville middle school visited the historic sites as a team building exercise. In october, 150 eighth graders visited the sites to learn about local history. Other events hosted included a pet parade, artoberfest and antique car show.

Identifying and preserving the heritage of kent island- outreach events in the community included: ki heritage exhibits at centreville middle school spring community fair, ki kids connection and ki library brach. Annual scholarship presentation to high school senior. Historic display of the ki railroad at the qa county holiday train show.
