The Lake Whitney Ministerial Alliance

Benevolence: provides assistance to those in need for prescriptions, utilities, gas to travel to medical appointments. An estimated 777 people were assisted during the year.

Joint committee for christmas: provides angel tree, senior gifts, food baskets and gift cards for food for thanksgiving and christmas. An estimated 365 people were assisted during the year.

In june, lake whitney ministerial alliance assumed complete operationsof the backpack program under the direction of our food bank director.previously we had only provided monetary support to reimburse kingmemorial united methodist. The backpack program provides children inneed with a backpack of food to take home over the weekend so that theycan have nutritional meals during the days they are not in school.
