The Leaders Readers Network

The Student Ambassador program supports youth (ages 13 - 24) in developing leadership, project management, and advocacy skills by completing service projects that foster equitable literacy access. During the 2023 - 2024 school year, we empowered 125 student leaders to organize and implement 9 service projects, such as the 9/11 service project, MLK Day, and Reading Buddy project to increase leadership development, book access, and sharing a love for reading through coaching and mentorship opportunities within our schools. Additionally, 8,426 student leaders provided 15,000 brand new books and read over 1,285,500 minutes to 14,960 students.
