Patient Transportation: Our transportation program provides rides to persons with sickle cell disease (SCD) to their clinic appointments. Our clinic partners have found that transportation is a major barrier to persons accessing consistent health care and this has a devastating impact on the health outcomes of persons with SCD. We provided just over 198 rides in total.

Sickle Cell Awareness: This is an ongoing program to raise awareness about SCD. We believe that raising awareness is the key to bringing about change to improve the lives of persons living with SCD. This program included expenditures on hosting our Annual Education Day Conference. Over 100 people attended the conference. We also update and use our website as a mechanism to raise awareness about SCD.

Food Assistance: This program provides food assistance to individual with SCD and/or their families who have been assessed by a Community Health Workers as facing food insecurity. We provided assistance to 233 people.

Emergency Assistance: This program provides financial assistance to individuals with SCD and/or their caregiver who are facing financial challenges. Most often these needs are for housing, food, and assistance with utility bills. We provided assistance to 23 people.
