To educate the community and visitors on the history of scientists, engineers, and business leaders who brought about a series of technology advances beginning with the telegraph and leading to modern cell phones.

The museum opened on March 1, 2025 and presents a variety of exhibits and programs that uses a collection of over 2000 historical artifacts to educate guests on the subjects of science, the history of technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), while sharing the stories of the leaders, engineers, inventors and scientists who over 200 years helped to change communication from laborious hand delivered messages to modern day instantaneous hand-held electronic communication
