Ncp is dedicated to deepening the understanding of being human through the theory and practice of psychoanalysis

Programs

2 programs

Ncp volunteer committees plan and produce extension programs and scientific meetings for local, regional, and international audiences to apply psychoanalytic concepts to individuals and society and expand the accessibility of affordable psychoanalytically oriented programs with free or low-fee registrations for students. Licensed mental health professionals enhance their knowledge in theory and practice by enrolling in continuing education programs on a variety of topics relevant to their areas of interest and their clinical practice needs, as well as meeting the requirements for license renewal.

The ncp library & archive is a resource servicing students, faculty and members. The library provides access to a large collection of books on the theory and practice of psychoanalysis and further aspects of psychoanalytic thinking. It contains subscriptions to the major professional journals so that current scholarly papers are available for study so that instructors can utilize current information in their course materials. Members can utilize this resource to continue lifelong learning/study groups and to support their own research into understanding, diagnosis and treatment of patients. The archive tracks the history and important influence of ncp's early members in promoting psychoanalytic theory and practice and developing theory. The archive is available to the public for free through ncp's website portal.
