To achieve greenhouse gas reduction, an emissions-free power sector by 2035, and a net-zero carbon economy by 2050. The proposed project is focused on direct carbon removal from ambient air while leveraging clean energy resources. As such it is highly aligned with doe strategic mission and ensures that cost effective solutions are developed which can be implemented at broad scale. It is also worth noting that the proposed study is a front-end analysis of a full-scale demonstration of the technology and the overall goal is to establish the framework that enables easy adoption ensuring net-zero emissions for the nation and as such is directly related to the goal of environmental justice (ej). This project was begun in nov of 2022 and being proposed for 2023. No expenses were incurred in 2022.
