Mission
Founded in 1965, the Open Space Council works independently and collaboratively to conserve and sustain land, water and other natural resources throughout the St. Louis Region.
Programs

Groundbreaking with the City of Brentwood to begin work on the 6 acres of functional wetland to create a new public open space known as the Wetland Arboretum Restoration Project.
Operation Clean Stream successfully removed over 142 cubic yards of trash and 729 tires from the Meramec Watershed.
Trash Bash had 1328 volunteers to remove 11.2 tons of trash from local waterways.
Community Stewardship Alliance had 573 volunteers contributed to habitat restoration in local parks through invasive species removal, willow staking, tree plantings and pollinator garden maintenance.
