The Park At St Lukes Inc

The park at st. Luke's is a green space on peachtree street in downtown atlanta welcoming office workers to eat lunch, neighbors to walk their dogs, children to play, and the homeless to rest. Created as a gift by the community for the community, the park at st. Luke's relies on donations to maintain and beautify the park. The park at st. Luke's, inc. Is a 501(c)(3) organization classified as a public charity under irc sections 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(a)(vi) with its own board of trustees who operate and raise funds for the park. The park's budget pays for all maintenance, including planting annuals, irrigation, and water/electricity. The park at st. Luke's was constructed in 1991 through the efforts of a non-profit corporation formed expressly to transform a derelict parcel of georgia dot right-of-way left over from construction of the "downtown connector" (interstates i-75/i-85).
