Mission
Ballet and contemporary dance classes with teachers who have danced professionally. Older students perform classical masterworks and original choreography for underserved populations and the general public. Students seeking dance careers or recreation benefit from ballet taught the traditional way.

Live dance concerts are offered by the pointe academy dance ensemble. The ensemble consists of upper level students who have committed to several weekly technique classes and rehearsals. These opportunities to perform both classical masterworks and original choreography are an integral part of the pointe academy's training program for the career-minded dance student. These shows are open to the general public.
Use of the professionally appointed dance studio space and other dance related equipment such as flooring and drapes is provided at reduced rates to dance groups in support of the wider dance community in our metro area. Iowa dance theatre and aloah wind are 2 area non-profits who rehearse in our space for free.
