Mission

As a bible-based, christian organization, the reformation projects mission is to advance lgbtq inclusion in the church. Our vision is of a global church that honors scripture and fully affirms lgbtq people.

Programs

2 programs

Reconcile and reform conference - the organization holds our annual reconcile and reform conference, where we gathered for a weekend of worship, teaching, inspiration, and connection with christians from across the country and the world who are seeking to help the church authentically reflect the love of jesus to lgbtq people. The organization also held two pre- conference programs: parents in process, for christian parents with children who have recently come out as lgbtq, and pastors in process, for pastors of non-affirming churches who are seeking to lead their churches toward greater inclusion of lgbtq people.

Expenses: $81K

Resource sales - the organization released a new 20-module video course, providing an in-depth theological exploration of the bible and lgbtq inclusion. From the six biblical passages that refer to same-sex behavior to broader themes in scripture about marriage, celibacy, sexual ethics, and the roles of men and women, this course carefully lays the groundwork for how christians can both affirm the authority of the bible and affirm their lgbtq friends and loved ones. The organization also offers a 70-page print booklet called how to talk about the bible and lgbtq inclusion that has sold thousands of copies.
