The rose island lighthouse and fort hamilton trust is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to preserve the historic and environmental integrity of rose island. It operates to maintain and preserve the rose island lighthouse as a historic monument, to provide education and public access for all people, and to preserve the surrounding grounds of the island as a natural habitat.
