As the representative organization for Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness (IRPE) professionals in the California Community Colleges (CCC) system, the RP Group strengthens the ability of CCC to discover and undertake high-quality research, planning, and assessments that improve evidence-based decision-making, institutional effectiveness, and success for all students.

Professional developmentamong multiple professional development and outreach initiatives, accomplishments include:-strengthening student success conference october 2023 - held annually since 2006, this 3-day event hosts a unique and wide cross-section of ccc attendees who come to share knowledge, learn, and connect, with a focus on improving institutional effectiveness, student success, leadershipcapacity, and equitable outcomes. Approximately 499 professionals came together in person in 2023.-rp conference april 2024 - with 215 attendees in 2024, the rp conference works to develop skills of institutional research, planning, and effectiveness professionals amongst all 116 california community colleges.-regional research groups - small regional groups of california community college institutional research, planning, and effectiveness professionals met virtually at multiple points throughout the year to share knowledge on research and planningpier to pier (irpe to irpe) monthly virtual gatherings of college institutional research, planning, and effectiveness professionals from across the state to discuss topics related to research and planning.-leading from the middle academy february till may 2024 - a professional development forum for 58 middle leaders in the california community colleges.
