The Shane Lalani Center For The Arts

Venue:The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts provides the community a space for thousands of people to gather, connect, celebrate monumental moments, learn new skills, grow, and share. Our historic facility in the heart of Livingston offers seven public rental spaces and hosted over 160 events and 45,000 visitors last year. The Shane Center also is home to nine long term tenants including a vibrant caf, a local music and book store, a dance studio, a community digital and traditional dark room, a music instructor, a massage therapist, an art studio, and nonprofit office space.

Education:For over two decades, the Shane Center has been dedicated to providing high-quality artistic education to the students of Park County through its Youth Education Program. Our educational programming continues to grow year over year, now serving more than 1,200 student participants and engaging over 4,100 audience members annually. Last year, we more than doubled participation in our programs.In 2024, we provided over 350 hours of childcare at an average cost of $4.47 per hour, not including the financial assistance and multi-child discounts we offer. In addition to our tuition-based programs, we provided more than 320 hours of free after-school and in-school programming, ensuring accessibility for all students and, provided 90 scholarships for a total of $18,750 of financial assistance.The Youth Education Program operates year-round, with active programming every month except December. Offerings included a Spring and Summer Young Actors Workshop, both two-week programs culminating in three public performances for students in grades K-12. The Teen Theatre Production, a free multi-week production open to teens, provided performance opportunities at no cost. Quarterly four-week after-school theatre classes served students of all ages. The Devised Theatre Initiative, a free seven-week after-school program for ages 13-18, engaged participants in exploring contemporary social issues through theatre. Five weeks of summer day camps allowed students to immerse themselves in theatre arts. Additionally, our Rural Outreach Program brought theatre education to underserved communities across the region, expanding access to the performing arts.
