Mission

Creating Justice LA (CJLA) is a DBA of The Shaw Community TransformationCorporation. We are seeking to build and incubator for Holistic Growth, Development and Transformation. We seek to createalternatives to Capitalism that would generate income using more democratic options, such as co-ops and other creative models. Through our Mom & Pops initiative we seekto bring Mom & Pops businesses back into communities from which they have beendisplaced through gentrification. We believe that street vending and other Mobilemodels are one of the only ways in which small business will be able to survive andthrive from now and on into the future. Through our Creating Justice LA-Peace andhealing center we serve as a resource hub and space for community connection andrelationship building and healing. We also serve as a cooling and cool water stationduring extremely hot weather.Ran a peace and healing center in Skid Row Los Angeles, opened on Monday Wednesday Thursday and Friday. Served 30-50
