Mission

An organization that provides programs to promote and support independent lifestyles for seniors.

Programs

3 programs

Reaching resources program: intensive, home-based case management that serves as a resource guide, advocate, and support for older adults.

Expenses: $260K

Community caring program: connects volunteers with home-bound, isolated, and/or financially fragile seniors 55+ to help support their independence.

Expenses: $75K

The together today program provides an excellent opportunity for seniors to get together on a regular basis, make new friends, and have a wonderful time socializing together. An important side benefit is that the participants develop a very caring attitude toward each other and look out for each other's welfare. The schc counseling program is a holistic approach that positively impacts the well-being of hamilton county's seniors and helps ensure a great quality of life as they age. Research studies show that prolonged isolation of individuals leads to depression and anxiety, which increases exponentially as people enter into the senior age group. An schc therapist works with clients to create a treatment plan and goals which remain in place until a long-term provider is identified or goals are met.
