Policy and advocacy - swhr seeks to increase federal funding for biomedical research for conditions that affect women and for sex differences research. Swhr seeks to ensure that women are included appropriately in clinical trials, that trial results (research findings) are analyzed for sex and gender differences, and that appropriate funding is provided for the offices of women's health at nih, hhs, and fda. Furthermore, swhr advocates for improved regulatory policy, coverage and payment policy, and private health plan policy to benefit the health of women.

Communications - swhr educates women in the public about the value of biomedical research and the latest findings about disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment options.
