ARM IN ARM - Arm in Arm was created by USCAN members to inspire mass action on climate change, focusing on racial and economic justice. Accomplishments in the FY24 included assessing accomplishments, which culminated in an evaluation report, and transitioning to a new fiscal sponsor.
INTERNATIONAL - USCAN actively supported the participation of over 50 individuals at COP29 and SB60, prioritizing the inclusion of frontline communities, grassroots organizations, and youth. Their efforts included coordinating 3 press conferences featuring spokespeople from impacted communities, organizing engagement spaces like a booth focused on adaptation, resilience, and loss & damage, and hosting a 5F campaign side event and USCAN meetings. Financial support was provided to overcome participation barriers, and an International Liaison was appointed to coordinate with UNFCCC leads and facilitate civil society engagement, all aimed at empowering frontline voices in crucial discussions.
