Healthy living means more than simply being physically active. It is about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. The y is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through the ymca's many family-centered activities. At the y, it is not about the activity you choose as much as it is about the benefits of living healthier on the inside, as well as the outside.in 2024, the ymca served 111,970 individuals, and provided $2,018,256 in financial assistance to 29,855 participants in ymca programs for healthy living. These programs include: (1) family time; (2) health and wellness; (3) fitness activities; and (4) group interests.
The generosity of others is at the core of the ymca's existence as a nonprofit, charitable organization. It is only through the support of hundreds of thousands of volunteers nationwide, and public and private donors that we are able to support and give back to the communities we engage. To bring about meaningful change, individuals need ongoing encouragement and tools. The ymca is here day-in and day-out to provide the resources the communities need to address the most pressing social issues. The ymca works to make sure every child, family and the community has what is needed to achieve their best. Through the ymca, hundreds of volunteers on the first coast, and more than 500,000 across the nation, along with donors, leaders and partners are empowering millions of people, and the communities in which they live, reinforcing the ymca's commitment to our cause: strenghtening the foundations of community.in 2024, the ymca served 41 individuals and provided $47,595 in financial assistance to 15 families participating in ymca programs for social responsibility. These programs include (1) social services; (2) global services; (3) volunteerism and giving; and (4) advocacy
