Thea Bowman House Inc

Thea bowman house provides an on-site pre-kindergarten program administered by the utica city school district and funded by the nys education dept. This is a 2 1/2 hour program which follows the school schedule. Breakfast and lunch are provided to the morning classes, lunch and snack to the afternoon classes, and all meals served are funded by the nys doh cacfp. Each classroom has one head teacher certified by the state of ny.

This special program, operating out of the lafayette street site, provides an emergency food pantry for west utica residents and second hand clothing, free of charge to anyone in need.

Thea bowman house provides supportive services to the children and families that it serves. This includes our dove program (domestic violence ended). Thea bowman house provide counseling, education and self-esteem building services for the participants.
