Mission

Boston court creates and nurtures innovative, boundary-pushing art that invokes the power of collective imagination to illuminate our common humanity.

Programs

2 programs

Typically, main stage productions are new works or re-envisioned classics, passionate, artist-driven plays that open minds and hearts, and urge artists to fearlessly and passionately pursue their unique voice and vision. Concerts span a variety of genres including classical jazz, contemporary, world music, choral and more. Music artists range across all levels of their career, from established professionals to emerging artist, and are encouraged to perform works that are experimental and/or completely new. Art upfront highlights local artists that explore themes connected to the music and theatre programming, bringing the conversation beyond the performance space.

Expenses: $219K

As boston court pasadena (bcp) continued its recovery from the pandemic, the organization expanded its live programming, reaffirming its belief that art is essential and for everyone, while sustaining a deep community impact. Bcp hosted the brighworks new music initiative for high school composers and continued teen night, a 2024 partnership with teen tix that offers young people access to performances across los angeles at free or reduced prices. In addition, bcp maintained its community tix program, providing $10 tckets for all theatre and music presentations. Together, these initiatives underscore bcps commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists and audiences and ensuring that the arts remain accessible to all.
