Mission
The mission of there is no hero in heroin foundation is to promote awareness, educate the public and encourage those struggling with heroin/opioid addiction and those who love them. We are dedicated to raising the curtain on the epidemic of drug addiction in our schools, the scarcity of rehabilitation programs, and the need for quality federally and state funded rehab programs to hold drug courts and law enforcement more accountable. There is no hero in heroin, only those who overcome.

Recon is a public education and community outreach forum that includes several programming elements, making it tinhihs signature annual event. Since 2013, this event has been held in february, on a monday closest to valentines day, to remember loved ones who have passed away, celebrate those in whom have found a pathway to recovery, and support those still struggling with substance use disorder. Included in this event are a carnation flower memorial wall, resource fair with community providers, overdose prevention training, and much more. For the first 5 years, black monday was held at the salvation army chapel but quickly grew beyond the capacity of 450 guests.
Tinhih has partnered with several community organizations to offer medication-assisted treatment and sober living scholarships.
