Mission

Transgender-Competency Training for Housing Service Providers - THISTL created the training content and developed partnerships to establish a training schedule to reach all HUD funded housing providers within the St. Louis Continuum of Care. Accountability and Advocacy in Transgender Housing - THISTL worked with partners to produce a St. Louis specific housing report capturing data about discrimination against Trans people in housing systems. We also represented Trans people in roundtables with legislators and City departments. We worked to develop better processes to report discrimination. Financial Services Education and Advocacy - THISTL provided financial literacy and homebuyer education courses specifically targeting the needs of Trans and Gender-nonconforming people. Mutual Aid - THISTL provided direct support to prevent evictions for low-income families.
