Three Rivers Park District Foundation Inc

Ongoing district supportsupport given to three rivers park district to fund various programs and areas in the parks including parks and trail funding, the pathways internship and other needs.

Accessibility and InclusionTo create more inclusive park experiences, the Foundation directed $40,800 toward assisted listening devices and $8,100 to expand adapted recreation equipment and programming for persons with disabilities.

Outdoor Recreation and Trail SupportTo promote healthy outdoor activity year-round, the Foundation funded $11,000 for cross-country ski trail development, $10,000 for snow grooming equipment, and nearly $5,000 in support of regional parks and trail systems. Grants also supported ski patrol operations to enhance visitor safety.

Nature Centers, Farms, and Program SitesThe Foundation invested in place-based education and engagement through funding for Richardson Nature Center ($20,000), Gale Woods Farm ($3,500), and other park locations including Hyland, Silverwood, and Lake Rebecca.

Community Enhancements and MemorialsDonor-directed conveyances totaling over $20,000 supported the redevelopment of Mississippi Gateway Regional Park and the installation of memorial trees and benches throughout the park system.

Youth Engagement and EducationRecognizing the importance of connecting young people to nature and careers in the outdoors, the Foundation conveyed $12,000 for the Pathways Internship Program and $4,168 for Pathways Intern transportation. Additional youth-focused support included funding for Explorer Camps and the First Tee Golf program.

Safety and TrainingA $5,000 conveyance supported public access to firearms safety training programs offered within the District.
