Our satellite distribution program continues to grow, reaching over 14,872 individuals. By establishing and strengthening these distribution sites, we have improved accessibility for those facing transportation challenges and other barriers, ensuring that more people can access the food they need in their own communities. In 2024, we also incorporated other bank services into our home delivery program for seniors and families in tumwater. This expansion provided essential hygiene and household products to those unable to visit our locations, improving their overall well-being and maintaining our commitment to offering comprehensive support beyond food assistance.
As a regional distribution organization (rdo), we distributed 3,489,900 pounds of food in collaboration with 63 partner organizations. This large-scale effort played a crucial role in strengthening food security initiatives across our 4 county region, ensuring that food banks, pantries, and community organizations had the resources needed to serve their clients effectively. Through our rdo work, we recorded over 563,000 individual visits to our 63 partner organizations, highlighting the increasing demand for food and essential services. As we continue to serve the community, the thurston county food bank remains dedicated to addressing food insecurity with dignity and efficiency, continually adapting to meet the evolving needs of our community.
