Preservation and maintenance expenses related to the ongoing preservation of the historic building; continued addressing issues identified by licensed preservationist as areas of immediate and long-term priority required in order to keep the property intact and protected.

Continued partnership with Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL). Sign-ups are available for any child age 5 or younger living within the 29483 zipcode. Each registered child receives a free age appropriate high quality hardback book every month through age 5. Monthly costs are for postage only per child. DPIL bills Timrod according to number of children registered & receiving books.

Received a grant from SC Humanities Foundation specifically for archive work at the Timrod. The grant was designed to pay a stipend to a professional archivist to properly preserve the earliest historic records from the Timrod and make them accessible to the public. Included funding for supplies, long-term storage and equipment to continue the work into the future. The project continued in the summer of 2025. Expenses are to date as of April 30, 2024.
