The tioga arts council enriches the cultural lives of residents and visitors by initiating and facilitating creative opportunities and collaborations. Through exhibitions, preformances, education and cultural experiences, the tioga arts council provides a central platform for a creative community.

Programs

Eleda: everyday life, every day art (eleda) is an annual, juried regional art show. The exhibition features work from artistswithin a 100 mile radius of owego, encompassing 25 counties in new york and pennsylvania. In fy 2023, eleda was a tremendous success in its goal to serve the arts and serve through the arts. Tac received over 200 submissions from an average 88 artists. Ver the course of the exhibition, eleda generated $16,786 in artwork payments, counted over 600 visitors, paid $3,100 in awards, and raised $2,475 to support tac's art a la cart, a free arts enrichment activity and delivery program for food insecure and rural youth in tioga county, ny. Eleda is held for the month of september at a leasted historic barn and one room schoolhouse at cloud croft studios. The public is invited to visit the exhibit for free and bring a picnic to enjoy the secenic surroundings.

Gallery: tac operates gallery space located at 179 front street in owego. In the main gallery,tac features a variety of individual artists and groupshows for artists 18+ years old. The youthgallery mirrors the main gallery giving youth a space to display their work in a gallery setting and learn about exhibitions. All who exhibit have the opportunity to sell their work. In additiontp artwork displays, tac hosts talks, literary readings, and make-and-takeworkshops. One of tac's core commitments is to serve the arts. The gallery embodies this organizationalvalue, providing a space to celebrate work, to connect artists with new audiences through artist talks, and to facilitate artwork sales. In fy 2023, tac sold $15,386, of art,through its galleryprograms and served 274 artists, writers, and creatives of all ages.
