As a subcontractor tmf supports the texas health and human services commission by performing medicaid surveillance and utilization reviews. Tmf performs medical record review of texas medicaid providers to determine medical necessity and compliance with medicaid policies. Tmf works closely with the office of inspector general (hhsc-oig) to perform retrospective medical record review for both fee-for-service and medicaid managed care to assess medical necessity and quality, and to identify compliance with medicaid medical/dental and program policies and correct coding.

The state of texas government relies on tmf's experienced professionals to share valuable training and information with providers. Tmf helps promote quality vaccine management and immunization practices by reinforcing positive behaviors and identifying areas that need more immediate attention. Tmf works with providers to ensure vaccine storage and handling are in accordance with program requirements and to improve management of vaccine inventories and oversight requirements.

Tmf health quality institute works with patients, providers, government agencies and other groups to promote high quality health care by providing services and support with health care payment models, practice transformation, quality improvement, community health and quality assurance. Tmf focuses on improving quality and reducing health care costs through contracts with federal, state and local governments, as well as private organizations. For 50 years, tmf has helped health care providers and practitioners in a variety of settings improve care for their patients.
