RESEARCH: Continued research at newly established research center for African-American heritage at a historic missionary church in Jefferson Texas; research relating to the historical assets at Caddo Lake Natural Heritage area and Port Jefferson Texas history and nature center as part of the Collins Academy Program; and research relating to improving the environment.

COMMUNICATIONS AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Partnering with Hall-of-Famer Charles Haley and Bob Bowie in the Tackle Tomorrow Program to tell the story of how important education is in the lives of children; promoting Character Counts! and the six pillars of character to students in the greater Dallas area; creating and promoting the importance of art on individual and economic life of Jefferson TX as well as expose art to the Jefferson Texas area students.
