Together center envisions a healthy, housed, and thriving community where people are easily able to access multiple compassionate support services on one campus. Together center's mission is to spark connections through people-focused spaces for nonprofits and the communities they strengthen.
Programs
3 programs
Building partnerships and collaboration to strengthen nonprofits: together center developed partnerships, hosted events and activities to build the capacities of nonprofit agencies through sponsoring events for agencies and the community, sponsorship of the alliance of eastside agencies, and nonprofit trainings that supports better delivery of services to the community. Together conference center hosted hundreds of events in 2024 with both onsite nonprofits and other regional nonprofits. Our coworking studio and gallery provide flexible space for nonprofit workers and for community artists to display their work.
Increasing access to social services: together center provides a range of compassionate support to people both directly and through our on-site provider partners. Program services include free public phones, free public computer, in-person resource navigation, and referral services. We work to connect people experiencing homelessness, immigrants, refugees, domestic violence survivors, and anyone in need of human services on our campus and in our region.
Redevelopment of new together center campus: in 2021, together center temporarily relocated its human service provider tenants to relocation sites in redmond secured by the together center development team. Until new facilty (49,000 sq ft human service hub topped by 5 floors of 30-60% ami affordable housing) was complete, together center operated out of 5 temporary relocation sites to keep human services as accessible as possible and rents for partners stable and below-market during the construction period. Together center leveraged its nonprofit owned land to make this project possible and is investing to create this long-term social infrastructure for the community. Construction of the new campus continued throughout 2022. In 2023, we conducted a phased move in to our new campus as construction was completed and certificates of occupancy acquired. In 2024, we worked with our vendors to complete a "punch list" to finish the redevelopment and construction. In addition, in 2024, together center collected its final capital campaign contributions and closed out both capital construction budget and campaign, and documented the full project in its publically available case study.
