The Foundation also allocates resources to administrative functions that are vital to its role of providing generous funding to the library for many years to come: ? Maintain the Foundations website with the ability to make donations online, updated current content, and improved efficiency of social media posting. Continued to stay up-to-date and virus-free with our website software. ? Continued efforts to increase awareness of the Foundation and the material and programming it provides to the library. The Foundation website (www.TollandPublic LibraryFoundation.org) and our Facebook page are currently used for this purpose. Updated tri-fold brochures are provided to all new patrons explaining the role of the Foundation. The Foundation is hoping to participate in the upcoming Harvest Fest, Saturday, October 12, and hold a Kindle drawing for the public ($155). ? Maintain our database of Foundation donors.

The Foundation supported the librarys major upgrade of the Maker Space and Business Center with funding for the following new items: ? LulzBot Mini 3-D printer ($1,800). ? Laptop to run the 3-D printer ($750). ? AlveoONE filterbox for the 3-D printer ($175). ? Cricut Maker 3 cutting machine ($399). ? Cricut Easy Press heat press ($250) ? Kodak Digital Film Scanner and KLIM K2 Mobile Film Scanner ($210)

Renewed databases and online subscriptions: Ancestry.com, JobNow, and EventKeeper

Inaugural annual subscription to the Library Speakers Consortium. This service provides all patrons remote access to a wide variety of author discussions and other virtual programming

Renewed Biblioboard and Creator, a service that enables the library and patrons to create, share and publish multimedia content that can range from eBooks, stories, poems, photos and videos.

Renewed Universal Class, an online continuing education service, offering patrons over five hundred courses in business, health, test preparation, computer training, homeschooling and many other areas of interest

Renewed two mobile hotspots for 1 year for the library, available to lend to patrons who may not have the necessary internet connectivity at home

The fourteenth season of the popular Eaton-Dimock-King Author series successfully continued with popular author Luanne Rice who discussed her new mystery set at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, Last Night, for two sessions on February 24; and author Judy Rakowski spoke about her memoir Jews in the Garden on May 15

As part of National Library Week, the Foundation recognized and thanked the library staff, who continue to be outstanding in supporting Tolland residents.

Continue to focus on a long-term vision of focused grants to substantially improve the library. The shared goal seeks to promote the changing role of a public library in a contemporary community.
