Mission
The Mission of Lifelong is to enhance the lives of older adults in Tompkins County. Lifelong achieves its mission through health and wellness, learning, exercise, recreation, travel, life planning and volunteer programs.
Programs

Tax preparation - Tax preparation is a free program to the general public and funded by an IRS TCE (Tax Funding for the Elderly) grant and grants from the Park Foundation and the County Office for the Aging. We offer free tax preparation for seniors with simple returns, and other underserved members of the public as we have space.
Medicare Counseling - A service for the general public funded by NYS and County for the Aging grants (HIICAP and MIPPA). Our Medicare volunteers are certified by the state and offer free and unbiased Medicare counseling.
Senior Circle is a quarterly newspaper, available in print and digital format full of information for the countys seniors. It is written by Lifelong and County Office for the Aging staff. Printed copies are distributed throughout the county at libraries and community centers. It is available digitally on Lifelongs and TCOFAs websites, as well as being personally emailed who have asked that it be sent to them in this way.
