Mission

Tony Gwynn Legacy East (TGLE) was founded to carry forward the vision and values of Hall of Fame baseball legend Tony Gwynn-an athlete known not only for his incredible talent but for his humility, mentorship, and dedication to community. Established in 2023 and based in Southern Maryland, TGLE works to make baseball more accessible for underrepresented youth while developing life skills that prepare them for success beyond the field. We are committed to creating long-term, inclusive environments where every child feels valued and supported. Our programs will celebrate cultural diversity, breaking down barriers and challenging stereotypes. We will build a sustainable program that continues to serve the community for generations to come. We will establish partnerships with local schools, businesses, and non-profits, leveraging resources to maximize our impact.
