To elevate awareness of type 1 diabetes in order to educate the community, raise funds to find a cure, and inspire those with diabetes to live healthy and active lives.

As part of our mission to elevate awareness of the impact that Type 1 Diabetes has on nearly 1.9 million American children and adults - Touched by Type 1 holds an annual benefit show each fall, Dancing for Diabetes, featuring award-winning and nationally recognized dancers, creating an evening of entertainment and hope. THE ANNUAL SHOW ATTENDANCE WAS 1,556, AND THE VIEWS OF THE AWARENESS VIDEO WAS 3,756.
The organization created the d-box, a starter kit providing important resources and supportive materials to help individuals with diabetes to thrive. During calendar year 2024, 2,835 d boxes were distributed.
