Mission
The mission of the township high school dist 211 foundation is to obtain and provide resources to enhance and enrich learning opportunities for the students, staff and school community of township high school district 211
Programs
2 programs
Provide funding for innovative programs and materials to enhance and enrich students' educational experiences in the district's high schools. The projects funded by the innovative grants are directlly related to academics, the arts, student leadership and community service. From providing incentives for at-risk readers to supporting a peer leadership program for freshmen students, the grants provide experiences that are not normally funded from within the regular school budget. Funding for these programs is made possible through fundraising events.
Incubator program: the foundation worked with district 211 to develop a rigorous selection process for student teams from each school to represent that individual school in a district-wide event. The selected team presents an innovative business idea to a panel of business community experts. The winning team is awarded funds to help launch their business idea. District 211 oversees the performance of the business and provides updates to the foundation as well as monitoring the funding for the business. Unused funds are returned to the foundation. More information about this program is available on the website.
