Trail Association Of The Mckean Elk Divide

This trail group has formed to actively promote the development of trails in the region of the Mckean/Elk County line. We will engage in the design, funding, construction, mapping and maintenance of a network of multi-purpose, non-motorized (hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing) trails and trailheads within this area of the Pennsylvania Wilds region. We view the former Knox/Kane railroad grade as the main artery for this trail network. The Association believes in creating these opportunities to promote outdoor recreation and physical fitness, as well as preserving areas of natural or historical significance, and educating trail users about these features.
