Recovery support services - to promote recovery and reduce the instances of relapse, tasc offers a voluntary peer-to-peer recovery support service for publicly funded individuals with a desire to remain abstinent from alcohol and other drugs. Especially designed for individuals new to recovery who recently completed residential substance abuse treatment or are participating in outpatient counseling, tasc assigns a certified recovery specialist to provide services that include, but are not limited to, transporting to and attending 12 step meetings, acquisition of food, clothing, and shelter, employment assistance, admission to detoxification and further treatment, if necessary, and emotional support. Tasc's recovery support specialists work closely with the dui and drug treatment court programs, as well as inmates at the berks county jail system and patients at the reading hospital drug and alcohol center. Approx 228 clients were served amassing 7.507 units

Mental health case management program - tasc provides case management services for the mentally ill publicly funded clients of berks county, with the goal of reducing homelessness, suicide, incarcerations, and entanglement with an ongoing number of conflicting systems. These services address ancillary needs of individuals in helping them become self sufficient and independent. For fiscal year 2023/2024 tasc provided blended mental health case management services to 322 individuals ammassing 27,570 service units. Warm hand-off program - tasc provides warm hand-off intervention services to emergency room patients at both reading hospital and penn state/st. Joseph's hospital who are identified by hospital staff as appropriate for drug and alcohol treatment. Tasc crs staff work on-site 24/7 at reading hospital, and work on an "on call" basis at psu/st. Joseph's hospital. When a patient is identified and consents to services, a crs collects primary information and provides experience, strength, and hope in helping the patient access residential treatment directly from the hospital. In fiscal year 2023/24 tasc provided warm hand-off intervention servcies to over 824 patients, 60.3% of whom were admitted into residential treatment or detoxification services.

Toxicology center - tasc provides random, scheduled, observed, and confidential urinalysis collection services for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, primarily referred by the berks county adult probation & parole office, children & youth services, berks connections pretrial services, and the public at large. Tasc works closely and provides collection services for individuals participating in the drug, dui, mental health, and veterans treatment court programs. All referral sources have online access to client results within 48 hours of the specimen collection date. Donors are observed through a one-way mirror by gender specific monitors. All specimens collected are sent to redwood toxicology following all federally approved chain of custody procedures. Donors remit a $6 co-pay at the time of service. A six panel drug test includes screening for amphetamine, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, oxycodone, and marijuana. Tasc may also order tests for k2/spice, fentanyl, etg, anabolic steroids, and other substances as requested. For fiscal year 2023/24 tasc collected 26,584 specimens, with a positive rate of 30.76%.
