Mission
Our mission is planting fruit trees in developing countries to feed people, create jobs, and benefit the environment.
Programs
3 programs
School feeding: we distributed over 238,000 meals to schoolchildren in haiti and jamaica. Food products are produced locally and derived mainly from breadfruit. Breadfruit is highly nutritious and the food products are tasty. This program serves over 50 schools and over 8,000 children. Students, teachers and parents have thanked us. This program encourages small agribusinesses which in turn provide economic benefit to farmers.
Agribusiness: we provide equipment and training to entrepreneurs producing food products. We also purchase food products from them and distribute to schools. Our goal is to help launch small agribusinesses and ultimately have them become independent of charitable support.
Education program: we train farmers in techniques for propagation and tree care using videos, online and in person seminars using local experts. We educate schoolchildren in the benefits of planting fruit trees with educational books now in nine languages.
