Affordable home development - through its affiliate mission housing llc, trellis partnered in a low-income housing tax credit project to build and lease 42 townhomes in north-central phoenix. Affordable home development also includes the activities of trellis realty, llc which acts as a broker to sell properties developed and owned by trellis; assists clients in selling and purchasing properties not owned by trellis; and list properties owned by the city of phoenix for sale to first-time homebuyers.

Expenses: $280K

Homebuyer education, counseling and financial coaching - trellis offers one-on-one and pre- and post-purchase housing counseling and financial coaching; homebuyer education onsite and online; and credit and money management workshops in both english and spanish. Trellis voluntarily adopted the national industry standards for homeownership and counseling which establishes standards for education and counseling services and sets agency training standards. Trellis has three housing counselors who meet the expanded dodd-frank hud counselor certification.
