Special education and research: provides special educational and research to aid professionals and the public, improve attitudes and services of its participants. Not for profit agencies served include catholic charities of saratoga, warren and washington counties, glens falls association for the blind, and retired and senior volunteer program. To promote volunteerism within the community and maintain an office to match volunteers with organizations in need of assistance. To provide tax preparation and filing assistance to low to moderate income individuals and families during the first quarter of the calendar year. Partnered with the irs to operate a volunteer income tax assistance (vita) site in queensbury, ny. Kids with packs program to provide backpacks and school supplies to area students, and united in purpose to provide hygiene and other personal items to students and other individuals within our service area.
