To promote the triangle (raleigh/durham/chapel hill/cary, nc) as a premier sports destination and seek to positively impact the region through one of the country's fastest growing industries - sports tourism.

The nc swimming hall of fame: the nc swimming hall of fame was founded in 1985 to recognize outstanding achievements in, and contributions to, the sport of swimming in north carolina. The hall recognizes achievements across all major aquatic sports including diving, masters swimming, open water swimming, synchronized swimming, and water polo. This event was held in 2023.
