Mission

The Clackamas River Chapter of Trout Unlimited seeks to restore fish habitat in the watersheds in the Clackamas, Sandy and Molalla River basins. We partner with other organizations and federal, state and local agencies to accomplish this goal. CRTU provides overall project coordination, grant management and financial management on projects that we oversee. We also provide opportunities for youth and members of the community to learn about watersheds through direct participation in restoration activities and learning about how anglers can help restore and maintain these resources.

Programs

1 program

Youth Fly Fishing and Conservation Camp CRTU operates a camp for boys and girls age 10-14 every summer. Campers learn the basics of fly fishing, fly tying, fish anatomy, and watershed education. The camp is operated as a 4-day, 3-night remote camping experience where volunteers provide instruction and supervision for campers to learn in a remote environment. CRTU provides all of the camp infrastructure and food supplies for all campers and volunteers.
