Phase T.W.O. Retreat: This weekend retreat north of Houston served as an extension of P.L.U.S. United by focusing on the well-being of black men aging with HIV. 6 individuals from Houston enjoyed a weekend of intentional yet informal dialogue and rest. A licensed professional counselor was always on hand should additional support be required. Meals lodging pampering and recreation were provided at no charge to attendees.
P.L.U.S. United Retreat: This annual weekend retreat in the Texas Hill Country focuses on the well-being of black men living with HIV. 24 individuals from the Houston and Austin areas were immersed in group dialogue games pampering and rest. A licensed professional counselor was always on hand should additional support be required. Meals lodging pampering and recreation were provided at no charge to attendees.
Other programming included a support circle for HIV+ people of color an open mic series a mental health discussion an art exhibition a podcast TIC training and community advisory boards.
