Mission
Expand amateur digital radio. Tapr is involved in a multi-year development project, funded by ardc, to develop a specialized radio receiver for a personal space weather station (psws); a project partially funded by the national science foundation and led by dr. N frissell at university of scranton. The objective is to develop a low cost, mass- producible design for hobbyists and scientists to observe the effects of space weather on radio wave propagation.
Programs
1 program
This project supports development to advance the state of the art in amateur radio digital communications and propagation studies by providing hardware and software for experimenters at reasonable cost. Tapr funded the development and production of the ticc, tms-buf, pulse puppy, and gps experimenter's kit, devices useful to the time and frequency measurement community used to improve the accuracy of such measurements in a smaller package and less expensive than other products on the market.
