Tucson Botanical Gardens

Educational & outreach programs: tbg offers classes, workshops & lectures to people of all ages, abilities & backgrounds. Over 12,000 children participated in youth programs. Tbg's horticultural therapy program (htp) worked with people with disabilities through both outreach and on-site programs. Additionally, tbg offers displays and events throughout the year that highlight topics of educational and cultural interest to the community. An annual lecture series is produced to broaden the impact of the onsite exhibits as well as tour guides.

Special exhibits: la calavera catrina returned to tbg as well as the 2nd year of the holiday light show, lightsup in the spring washed ashore: art to save the sea was a popular exhibit. Other exhibits featured the work of john benedict, joan mcgann, vicky stromee, catherine harold, the matthew b johnson florilegium, parks in focus, and lectures from michiel pillet. In 2024, tbg hosted world renowned photographer, yojiro imasaka. The great garden express/garden railway train, designed by laura busse dolan of applied imagination, was installed.
