The Tucson Metro Chamber is a membership-based business advocacy and community development organization that represents 1,500 businesses employing more than 160,000 employees in Tucson and Pima County. The Tucson Metro Chamber is committed to being the connector of leaders and influencers, a catalyst for business growth, and a champion for a stronger community.

Programs

Workforce Development - Continued construction sector partnership to address workforce needs and added mining companies to that discussion. Held Business Summit to inform business owners of ways to improve their business. Continued health care roundtable. Moved to an advocacy-focused strategy to eliminate the barriers to a vibrant workforce. Fostered partnership discussions to address the lack of affordable and quality childcare. Leading on the Workforce Investment Board to create more apprenticeships and internships within industry. Launched workforce advocacy-focused webinars.

Connections - Hosted over 20 networking events. Relaunched Good Morning Tucson and Chamber Xchange. Over 60 ribbon cuttings, mixers and major events with over 2,000 attendees. Honored 55 small businesses and non-profits at the Wells Fargo presented Copper Cactus awards. Our workforce initiatives expanded to bring government, employers, education and workforce development, and marketing efforts together to address talent development and attraction. Hosted 4000 registrants combined at the business summit, UA Athletics mixer, State of the Region and Copper Cactus Awards.
