The Tulsa Ballet Centers for Dance Education (TBCDE) offers dance training of uncompromising quality. The curriculum emphasizes classical ballet technique based on the Russian tradition of training. With two locations in the Tulsa metro, TBCDE is led by a full time faculty of professional dancers and leaders in the field of ballet pedagogy. The pre-professional division offers classes for students 9 to 18. Additional classes are offered for children 3-5 (Creative Movement), 6-9 (Preparatory Ballet), and adults wishing to begin or continue their training.

Expenses: $882K

Tulsa Ballet provides a variety of educational and performance outreach programs for the community. These important programs increase arts access for underfunded schools, clients of social services, and other populations who do not typically have access to arts experiences. Leaps Ahead offers an in-studio ballet class for children from local at-risk schools and Leaps in Motion takes the program out into the schools. Backstage at the Ballet brings a children's ballet performance to every 5th grader in Tulsa Public Schools through the Kennedy Center's national Any Given Child Program. Partners in Art and Hope for the Holidays provide free Tulsa Ballet tickets for mainstage performances to underserved children and families. In total, Tulsa Ballet's outreach programs serve 10,000 persons each year.
